What's The Goal?

To introduce kids of all experience and ability to the empowering and life-enriching practice of long distance running through a positive experience that emphasizes FUN and rewards effort, attitude and personal bests.

Additional Opportunity: Because we are an official USA Track and Field club, the top three boy and girl finishers in the 2K and 3K distances at our final club meet on October 15th will be qualified to compete in the USATF Youth State Championships on November 12th in Provo. For the additional month of training, Coach Nan will lead workouts. USATF requires a $20 individual membership to compete at State, with the potential for qualifying for Junior Olympic National Championships in Alabama on December 10th.

How It Works

At each practice the coach will provide a short inspirational message and then lead the kids in running games and cross country training, designed and provided by head coach Nan Kennard - Olympic Trials Marathon Qualifier, former All-American, & Hall of Fame 3-time national champion BYU Cross Country team member. Workouts will last approximately 1 hour including warm up, stretching/inspiration, game/workout, and cool down. Children are praised for effort and improvement.

No child goes unnoticed!!
